This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Propel territory expansion by forging connections with new retail partners and enhancing relationships with existing accounts to meet sales and profit targets.
• Oversee the entire sales process, encompassing prospecting, lead generation, cold outreach, product demonstrations, negotiations, closing deals, and account management.
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge and offer solutions that address customer challenges effectively.
• Formulate and implement yearly territory business plans, which include sales forecasts, budget oversight, and growth strategies.
• Leverage lead generation initiatives, research trials, and demonstration opportunities to enhance market visibility and engage customers.
• Systematically organize and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly sales tasks to meet territory objectives.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, R&D, and other internal teams to exchange market insights and support customer success.
• Keep abreast of EPA and state regulatory requirements pertinent to the territory.
• Represent Verdesian with professionalism and cultivate relationships that bolster the company's reputation.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
• At least 5 years of professional sales experience in the agriculture sector.
• Demonstrated success in a business-to-business sales context.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Proficient in managing territory plans, sales forecasts, and budgets.
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and readiness to travel extensively within the territory.
• Experience selling inoculants, fertilizer enhancers, micronutrients, or similar agricultural products is advantageous.
• Understanding of biological technologies and their applications in agriculture.
• Familiarity with lead generation and customer qualification strategies.
• Experience collaborating with agricultural retailers, Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs), independent crop consultants, and other industry stakeholders.
• Ability to foster relationships within academic and research circles.
• A strong commitment to advancing nutrient use efficiency and sustainable agricultural methods.
• Capacity to establish enduring customer relationships.
• Proficient in identifying customer needs and articulating product value effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a dynamic environment.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
