This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Execute all conventional account management duties for all accounts within the designated territory; Maintain comprehensive communication with key distributors, end users, OEMs, electrical contractors, representatives, and plant personnel to cultivate and strengthen long-term relationships for business sustainability.
• Oversee the Canadian sales initiative to enhance sales growth via sales agents’ representatives and distribution networks, and generate demand for our Appleton products among major end users, electrical contractors, and OEM accounts; Set product specifications and secure sales at significant accounts for major projects, retrofits, MRO, and temporary power business.
• Focus on small, mid-sized, and large engineering firms to bolster the Appleton sales strategy in defining Appleton product specifications, while also targeting International Accounts within the specified territory to stimulate demand for our products requiring Global Certifications for export.
• Execute sales and marketing initiatives as directed by the head office; Develop and implement strategic business plans to capture available opportunities and forecast for existing and new products.
• Leverage and efficiently utilize essential customer service support and management resources to ensure success, while monitoring pricing for accuracy and consistency, adhering to the established responsibility framework of Emerson Canada regarding pricing and new distributor appointments.
• Act as a comprehensive technical field representative, directly managing claims and adjustments within the defined policy and consulting as necessary.
• Deliver product training for existing sales representatives, engineering firms, distributors, OEMs, electrical contractors, and end users.
• Post-Secondary Technical Graduate in the Electrical Field with proven sales experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated expertise in selling through electrical distribution as well as an understanding of product line specifications, applications, IEC products/specifications, and Global Certifications.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% monthly as required throughout the territory and to the head office, including frequent overnight travel, extended overnight stays on a regular basis, and attendance at quarterly sales meetings.
• Exceptional communication skills for clear and effective interaction with others.
• Strong collaboration abilities and capacity to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with sales and cross-functional teams and customers.
• Capability to professionally manage diverse customer and employee personalities.
• Strong organizational skills necessary for planning, coordinating personal work, meeting targets, prioritizing to support sales efforts, and reallocating resources to achieve Company objectives.
