This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Serving as the representative of BASF to designated refinery clients, fostering multi-tiered relationships across operational, technical, procurement, and leadership teams while formulating and implementing account strategies aimed at growth, retention, and value generation.

• Meeting annual sales objectives, margin targets, and market share goals through effective contract negotiations, pricing strategies, commercial agreements, precise sales forecasting, pipeline oversight, and CRM management.

• Utilizing expertise in FCC, hydroprocessing, and refining catalyst technologies to assist customer operations via catalyst performance evaluations, economic value analyses, technical presentations, and recommendations that convert technical outcomes into economic and operational advantages.

• Managing the execution and effectiveness of catalyst programs, including trials, new product launches, performance monitoring and reporting, troubleshooting, optimization, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery.

• Conducting regular business reviews with clients to assess KPIs, performance, and value provided; align on customer priorities and operational objectives; identify risks and growth possibilities; and establish collaborative continuous improvement plans to enhance long-lasting partnerships.

• Collaborating closely with BASF teams such as Technical Service/Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing & Product Management to coordinate resources and provide integrated customer-centric solutions.

• Keeping track of refinery market trends, customer strategies, and competitive activities to offer insights that inform pricing, product positioning, and growth strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• Bring at least 5 years of experience in chemical engineering, ideally within the refinery or chemical sectors, with a proven history of managing large accounts and driving business expansion.

• Preferred: Have experience in catalysts or related fields to enhance customer engagement and technical insight, along with 3+ years in account management or sales.

• Exhibit a solid technical grasp of refinery processes.

• Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to cultivate relationships with clients and internal teams.

• Possess strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities, including the aptitude to analyze market trends and customer requirements, devise strategic sales plans, and manage multiple accounts concurrently.

• Be proficient with MS Office, CRM software, and other sales management tools.

• Be prepared to travel up to 50% for client meetings and industry events as necessary.
