
Account Executive – Splunk Commercial – SLED

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Expand and develop territories for Splunk Public Sector within Commercial SLED accounts
• Engage in prospecting and lead-generation activities to promote Splunk software
• Follow up on incoming leads and maintain their status in the company's CRM
• Perform outbound prospecting and initiate lead generation
• Qualify both inbound and outbound leads
• Arrange product demonstrations for qualified clients
• Manage accounts by nurturing and building client relationships through personalized interactions
• Comprehend client needs and effectively communicate the value of products and services
• Provide accurate opportunity forecasts based on realistic evaluations
• Achieve or surpass designated revenue targets
• Collaborate with a field representative
• Assist in participation at Splunk Lives, the National Users Conference, and regional trade shows
• Over 4 years of experience in selling enterprise IT solutions, including BI, data analytics, security software, risk management software, or networking performance
• At least 1 year of experience selling IT solutions to SLED and/or Federal accounts is preferred
• Consultative sales experience is preferred
• Experience in identifying and uncovering new opportunities with prospects and existing clients, including cold calling and business hunting, is preferred
• Proven experience in managing the entire sales process from start to finish is preferred
• A history of exceeding goals and quotas is preferred
• Consistent success in consultative sales environments is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business and manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred
• Strong logical and analytical thinking skills are preferred
• Proven negotiation skills are preferred
• Technical aptitude is preferred
• Proficiency in computer skills, including CRM systems, Word, and Excel; familiarity with Salesforce.com is a plus
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks by deadlines
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to team efforts
• Conflict resolution skills
• High levels of motivation and professionalism
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Science, or equivalent experience
• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
