This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• In the role of Account Executive, your main duty will be to nurture and grow our client base in the foodservice and retail sectors by uncovering new business prospects and deepening relationships with current accounts.
• You will be essential in fostering both top-line and bottom-line sales growth while building robust customer relationships.
• Identify, close, and expand retail-sector clientele to ensure consistent and profitable sales.
• Establish strong connections with decision-makers, comprehend their needs, and ensure their satisfaction.
• Maintain ongoing communication to fulfill order volumes and delivery schedules.
• Implement sales strategies to achieve or surpass set targets.
• Enhance product penetration and profitability across various accounts.
• Keep track of market trends, competitors, and potential opportunities.
• Create proposals and represent the company at customer meetings and events.
• Promote cost efficiencies, savings, and account optimization.
• Prioritize key accounts and strategically manage your portfolio.
• Make informed decisions regarding credits, pickups, and limits.
• Grasp commodity selling and market dynamics thoroughly.
• Stay informed about retail, foodservice, and discount segment knowledge.
• Clearly articulate product features and benefits.
• Educate and assist customers using G&C tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Purchasing, Logistics, Accounting, IT, Ops, HR) to support customer needs.
• Lead Sales Coordinators to ensure the fulfillment of their responsibilities.
• Keep accurate records of accounts, accounts receivable, and inventory.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Effectively utilize sales systems and Microsoft tools.
• Conduct ROI analyses to refine pricing, product mix, and customer performance.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience in food retail or food service is required, with experience in sales and profitability being advantageous.
• Experience in maintaining existing account/customer relationships, prospecting, generating pipelines, and closing new business.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer and office visits.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree or relevant experience is preferred.
