This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage and cultivate a designated account portfolio while formulating account strategies to acquire and grow business with upper middle market and enterprise clients.
• Establish and sustain vital relationships with C-level executives, ensuring appropriate executive interactions are facilitated.
• Play a key role in shaping our platform partnership strategy, focusing on developing repeatable processes and scalable engagement models.
• Create outbound strategies to identify and nurture new opportunities.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals for upper middle market and enterprise customers.
• Build relationships with executive stakeholders at both new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with company leaders across various functions (such as Engineering, Product, and Finance) to lead intricate product workshops and financial analyses.
• Lead and participate in team initiatives aimed at enhancing our sales process.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence product strategy.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally in selling a technical product, demonstrating a history of exceptional performance.
• Significant experience in directly selling a technology product or service, preferably within an API-first company, with a proven record of success.
• Demonstrated ability to advance sales processes from initiation to closure by leading complex, multi-party sales in a consultative approach, effectively understanding strategies and applying value propositions.
• Excellent listening skills and the capability to quickly establish trust with decision-makers in technology and finance departments within software firms.
• Ability to comprehend intricate technical issues and articulate how Stripe’s solutions can resolve them.
• A proactive attitude and relentless work ethic when facing obstacles to success, whether external or internal.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Proven experience leading complex negotiations involving customized commercial agreements.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
• Keen interest in technology and an in-depth understanding of the industry.
• Experience with or a desire to learn about financial technology infrastructure.
• Meticulous approach to CRM maintenance and experience using comprehensive sales forecasting metrics on a weekly or quarterly basis, with the ability to communicate them clearly.
• Experience in payments is preferred.
