This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Introduces and markets Merit products to both new and existing accounts, following up to ensure that delivered products meet customer needs.
• Conducts in-service presentations for clinicians, detailing new products and their applications.
• Cultivates strong relationships with clients to guarantee their needs are recognized and fulfilled.
• Collaborates with Merit marketing and sales teams to ensure timely product delivery, stay updated on new offerings, and relay customer feedback regarding product innovation.
• Develops and nurtures relationships with both new and existing clients by regularly meeting to present and demonstrate Merit products and highlight their benefits.
• Identifies potential customers and introduces them to the range of products available from Merit.
• Maintains communication with clients to assess their satisfaction with the products.
• Recognizes opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction with products.
• Creates tailored drawings for clients requiring custom kits or manifolds.
• Prepares and submits pricing contracts for products to clients.
• Follows up with clients to uncover opportunities for increasing sales volume and profitability.
• Addresses issues with clients regarding manufacturing or delivery challenges, if they arise.
• Makes decisions within authorized limits regarding product pricing to maximize sales volume and profitability.
• Compiles a monthly report summarizing sales results, contacts made, product change needs, and suggestions for improving Merit's processes.
• Engages in various sales training and planning meetings to learn about new products and marketing initiatives while sharing insights on sales objectives.
• Maintains extensive knowledge about Merit and competitor products, including their benefits and drawbacks.
• Establishes and meets personal performance targets for sales volume, new contacts made, new client sales, and other related outcomes.
• Collaborates as a member of the Merit sales team to enhance the company’s market share by identifying ways to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Travels via car, airplane, bus, etc. to fulfill sales responsibilities with clients.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, preferably in the medical product sector.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to understand the needs of others in a sales context.
• High level of personal motivation and ambition to achieve both personal and professional objectives.
• Outstanding oral presentation skills with the capacity to think critically when analyzing problems and explaining solutions to a group of medical technicians and clinicians.
• Ability to learn about medical equipment usage and offer suggestions for enhancements.
• Effective team player, able to work collaboratively to achieve organizational goals.
• Proficiency in business mathematics for calculating percentages and preparing financial and sales data.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to document and report information thoroughly.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours to reach objectives, as necessary.
• Excellent driving record with no accidents in the past three years, or no more than one driving ticket in that time frame.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software applications.
