This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Take ownership and expand the NY/NJ territory from start to finish: encompassing licensed MSOs, independent cultivators, and new licensees.
• Oversee a dynamic portfolio of commercial cannabis cultivation accounts, ensuring consistent outreach and on-site engagement.
• Generate new business by leveraging existing cultivation relationships in the Northeast and targeting licensed operators in the New York and New Jersey markets.
• Conduct on-site visits with head growers and cultivation directors to gain insights into programs, system configurations, and supply requirements.
• Recommend suitable products tailored to each customer’s growing style, substrate selection, IPM strategies, and Northeast-specific environmental issues (cold climate, humidity control, seasonal lighting changes).
• Act as a trusted cultivation resource, possessing in-depth knowledge of indoor and greenhouse production, rockwool and coco media, biological and chemical IPM, and commercial consumables.
• Represent the brand at regional cannabis industry events, OCM-sanctioned engagements, and pertinent trade shows.
• Collaborate with operations and fulfillment teams to ensure precise, timely order execution for all Northeast accounts.
• Relay demand signals to procurement and category management to guide SKU prioritization and inventory management for the NY/NJ market.
• Verify the accuracy of inbound logistics and escalate any fulfillment or supply issues that could jeopardize customer commitments.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM record of all prospect and account activities — including contacts, visit notes, pipeline stages, and forthcoming actions.
• Provide regular updates on the territory, including pipeline value, win/loss trends, competitive intelligence, and SKU demand signals.
• Monitor ramp progress against 30/60/90-day milestones and deliver precise revenue forecasts.
• 3–7+ years of experience working in or selling to commercial cannabis cultivation in the Northeast, with a strong preference for knowledge of the New York and New Jersey operator landscape.
• Established relationships with head growers, cultivation directors, or procurement contacts at licensed cultivation operations in NY/NJ — this is the most significant qualification.
• Practical cultivation knowledge covering substrate selection, IPM programs, environmental controls, and Northeast-specific growing challenges (cold climate management, humidity control, supplemental lighting strategies).
• Familiarity with product categories such as growing media, biological and chemical IPM, fertigation supplies, and commercial cultivation consumables.
• Proven success in territory management — building, overseeing, and expanding a portfolio of accounts with minimal supervision.
• Experience utilizing CRM platforms and maintaining disciplined sales pipeline management.
• Must be based in New York or New Jersey; ability to cover the entire NY/NJ operator base is essential.
• Self-motivated and capable of functioning effectively in a new-market, early-stage territory without extensive internal support systems.
• Valid driver’s license required; regular travel to customer locations is necessary — mileage will be reimbursed.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
• 401(k) plan with company matching.
• Paid time off and holidays.
• Opportunities for professional development and training.
• Flexible work schedule and options for remote work.
