This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and qualify key contacts within assigned strategic accounts and targets to develop new business opportunities proactively.
• Formulate and execute account strategies and sales plans aimed at achieving or surpassing quota targets.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers to understand their business objectives and determine how we can assist them in achieving their desired outcomes.
• Proactively engage with prospects and clients to anticipate and address challenges they may face.
• Collaborate across functions within Velsera and with prospect/client teams to create and define solutions.
• Keep track of activity, planning, and forecasting for all qualified opportunities throughout the sales process until closure.
• Maintain an updated and relevant understanding of Velsera's product offerings, as well as the fields of genomics, bioinformatics analysis, and related scientific directions.
• Actively participate in industry meetings and conferences as needed to represent Velsera.
• Create and deliver presentations and proposals that meet both expressed and anticipated customer requirements.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to identify and leverage key differentiators.
• Develop a strategic plan for all accounts and provide regular updates on the pipeline and forecasts to senior leadership.
• Recruit and source data to support the rapid growth of Velsera's Global Data Network.
• Travel may be required up to 30% of the time.
• Over 10 years of direct selling experience in SaaS or genetics/genomics solutions to Life Science organizations such as pharma, biotech, CROs, and Academic Medical Centers, with a proven ability to execute multimillion-dollar sales cycles in a consultative environment.
• Documented success in closing strategic enterprise deals with a total contract value of $1M or more, including experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes.
• Essential knowledge of strategic sales development techniques, with a strong preference for experience in SFDC and Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Strong networking abilities across all organizational levels, easily establishing relationships with senior management in pharma organizations and nurturing long-term partnerships to become their trusted advisor.
• Capability to clearly and effectively understand and present technical and/or scientific concepts and materials.
• A team player who thrives while working independently and can also support a team to foster new and existing business.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
