• Acquire new clients through prospecting to identify and qualify potential customers.
• Generate leads via cold calling and referrals to secure appointments and build relationships.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their overall objectives and requirements; develop a tailored plan for each customer to address their short- and long-term needs.
• Create and execute strategies to maintain and/or grow sales within a designated territory; successfully close sales with prospective clients to achieve sales targets.
• Foster new and existing account relationships through regular communication; inform clients about new products and services, and gather feedback on existing offerings.
• Act as a point of escalation for any issues that arise during product usage; take ownership of these issues with professionalism and control.
• Collaborate with various departments as necessary to align sales efforts with key stakeholders.
• Ensure complete and accurate client data is maintained in the appropriate systems promptly, facilitating smooth knowledge transfer and hand-off of closed sales to Sales Operations and Customer Success.
• Communicate effectively with key accounts and corporate personnel, providing reports on budget and sales activities, forecasting demand for products and services, and relaying feedback to marketing and product engineering teams for future developments.
• Become proficient in utilizing tools essential for accurately tracking opportunities and forecasting demand.
• Contribute to the formal review process of all business activities in assigned territories at least quarterly.
• Represent the business at trade shows by sharing information about our products; prepare and deliver technical/product presentations and demonstrations.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to junior sales professionals.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Five (5) years of relevant professional work experience.
• Experience working within K-12 school districts and/or school administration.
• Passion for education.
• Knowledge of the K-12 education sector.
• Familiarity with educational technology and online learning solutions.
• Team-oriented with the capability to work effectively across the organization to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
• Competence in managing competing priorities in a results-driven environment while exhibiting resilience.
• Excellent presentation abilities.
• Capacity to respond positively to feedback, mentoring, and coaching.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
