• Formulate and implement Business Development Strategies for Telesat Lightspeed LEO Services and Solutions aimed at Government entities.
• Identify and engage with pertinent defense, governmental, institutional, industrial, and political bodies within the target ecosystem, pinpointing key influencers, decision-makers, and stakeholders related to satellite communication initiatives.
• Advocate for Telesat Lightspeed among governmental end users and decision makers, fostering interest in Telesat LEO at the decision-making level.
• Shape the long-term network strategy and connectivity demands of prospective users.
• Keep track of market trends, the competitive landscape, procurement programs, and emerging requirements for defense connectivity.
• Organize engagement activities with local embassies, institutional representatives, and relevant political stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader diplomatic and strategic objectives.
• Evaluate local operational, technical, and regulatory requirements across targeted markets.
• Collaborate with the internal solution engineering team, product, and commercial divisions to adjust and tailor solutions in accordance with customer expectations.
• Contribute to go-to-market strategies and long-range regional business development plans.
• Over 10 years of expertise in business development, strategic sales, or government relations within the Defense, Satellite Communications, Telecommunications, or related technology fields.
• In-depth knowledge of the Nordic region's institutional, governmental, and defense ecosystems, including key stakeholders, procurement processes, and market dynamics.
• Proven experience in collaborating with government agencies, defense organizations, public institutions, and strategic industrial partners across Nordic nations.
• Comprehensive understanding of secure connectivity, satellite communications, mobility, or critical communications environments is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated success in creating strategic opportunities, building high-level relationships, and positioning complex technology solutions in government or defense-related contexts.
• Proficient in navigating multi-stakeholder and politically sensitive environments, including coordination with institutional players, embassies, and strategic partners.
• Capacity to comprehend operational and local requirements and collaborate internally to customize solutions that align with customer expectations and national priorities.
• Extensive experience managing complex opportunity cycles involving technical, operational, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, particularly at senior executive and institutional levels.
• Strong reporting and presentation skills, including the development of executive briefings and strategic business updates.
• Fluent command of English (both written and spoken).
• A military background or prior experience in defense institutions, armed forces, or government-related settings would be considered a significant advantage.
