This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Investigate potential sales opportunities within the designated region to identify key contacts.
• Generate new sales prospects through cold calling institutional leads from both new and existing sources.
• Collaborate with the Customer Care team to process quotes and finalize sales.
• Anticipate sales, create innovative sales strategies/models, and assess their performance.
• Build a sales pipeline through various channels, including email, phone, trade show leads, and inbound website inquiries.
• Reach out to institutional prospects utilizing both new and existing leads.
• Establish email campaigns to generate additional leads and inquiries.
• Oversee all post-sales activities, offer support to new customers, and ensure retention of university and college relationships year over year.
• Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to share and document market insights, feedback, and customer takeaways.
• Prioritize meetings with decision-makers and deliver on-site presentations and sales demonstrations.
• Conduct webinar presentations aimed at student groups.
• Participate in conferences and tradeshows to engage with both B2C and B2B prospects.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail while managing all sales activities, including notes, follow-ups, emails, and call logs.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets established for new revenue generation.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to sustain customer data and market insights.
• Adapt to the evolving needs of the growing company.
• Engage in team meetings and take ownership of sales improvement initiatives and other assigned tasks.
• Direct qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure, planning activities accordingly.
• Exhibit accountability by independently completing projects/assignments on schedule and ensuring that objectives and standards are met.
• Work with direct reports to ensure they have a personalized growth and development plan that enhances their knowledge, competencies, and professional practices.
• Seek opportunities for personal growth and development through meetings and educational programs.
• Bachelor's degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of five years of sales experience is required, or having utilized UWorld to pass the NCLEX exam.
• Previous sales experience in the education or publishing sector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and meet sales quotas.
• Experience in opportunity qualification, account development, and effective time management.
• Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to large audiences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of connecting and engaging with potential customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide consultative solutions for customers.
• Energetic, approachable, and friendly personality.
• Exceptional organizational skills combined with an adaptive and collaborative mindset.
• Persuasive and goal-focused.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% within the specified territory.
