• Conduct research to identify potential sales opportunities within the assigned region, targeting key contacts.
• Generate new sales opportunities by cold calling institutional prospects from both new and existing leads.
• Collaborate with the Customer Care team to process quotes and finalize sales transactions.
• Predict sales trends, create innovative sales strategies and models, and assess their effectiveness.
• Build a robust sales pipeline using various channels (email, phone, trade show leads, and inbound website inquiries).
• Reach out to institutional prospects utilizing both new and existing leads.
• Develop and implement email campaigns to generate additional leads and inquiries.
• Oversee all post-sales activities, providing support to new customers and ensuring year-over-year retention of university and college relationships.
• Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to share and document market insights, feedback, and customer takeaways.
• Prioritize meetings with decision-makers and deliver on-site presentations and sales demonstrations.
• Conduct webinar presentations to student groups.
• Attend conferences and trade shows to engage with both B2C and B2B prospects.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail while managing all sales-related activities (notes, follow-ups, emails, call logs).
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets based on the goals set for new revenue generation.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to maintain customer data and market insights.
• Adapt to the evolving needs of the growing company.
• Participate in team meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned tasks.
• Route qualified leads to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure planning.
• Demonstrate accountability and responsibility by independently managing projects and assignments on time, holding oneself and others accountable for meeting objectives and adhering to standards.
• Work with direct reports to ensure they have a personal and professional growth and development plan to enhance their knowledge, competencies, and professional practices.
• Seek opportunities for personal growth and development through meetings and educational programs.
• A bachelor's degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of five years of sales experience or having used UWorld to successfully pass the NCLEX exam is required.
• Previous sales experience in the education or publishing sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and meet sales quotas.
• Experience in qualifying opportunities, account development, and effective time management.
• Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to large groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect and interact with potential customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to determine solutions for customers using a consultative sales approach.
• Energetic, outgoing, and personable demeanor.
• Exceptional organizational skills with an adaptable and collaborative mindset.
• Persuasive and goal-driven.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% within the defined territory.
