This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Achieve the assigned objectives.
• Act as the Lead for all designated districts.
• Foster close relationships with all stakeholders across the accounts.
• Engage with customers to address concerns and identify gaps.
• Build district contacts and nurture relationships at all levels to enhance Scholastic’s standing, resulting in significant growth within assigned accounts.
• Gather account information regarding organizational structure (parent and subsidiaries), purchasing processes, compensation procedures, and existing products/tools to create a prospective business report outlining necessary business activities to secure accounts.
• Maintain regular communication with the account base, increasing revenue by positioning and demonstrating new and existing products, preparing relevant RFPs, and finalizing sales.
• Generate, develop, manage, and communicate expectations within assigned accounts while expanding the scope of penetration within each account.
• Qualify new opportunities and prospects, assess the size of opportunities, and communicate probabilities of closure.
• Keep complete and accurate records in the company's CRM module for all activities.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company products and their capabilities in relation to the strengths and weaknesses of competitor products.
• Travel up to 60% of the time.
• Over 10 years of experience in the education sector.
• More than 1 year of experience in strategically selling across territories, generating and closing large opportunities.
• Meet sales responsibilities and annual goals.
• Demonstrated success in selling and cultivating relationships with high-level clients.
• Proven ability to drive exceptional levels of Customer Experience.
• Preference for candidates with established relationships.
• Bachelor's Degree or a higher level of education is preferred.
• Knowledge of Academic Curriculum.
• Proficient in MS Office software; experience with Sales Automation, Customer Relationship Management, or web-based software programs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in oral presentation.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, superiors (across functions and throughout the organization), and customers.
