This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Meet and exceed assigned targets.
• Acts as the primary contact for all designated districts.
• Cultivates strong relationships with all stakeholders within the accounts.
• Engages with customers to address concerns and identify gaps.
• Builds contacts within the district and fosters relationships at all levels to enhance Scholastic’s standing, leading to significant growth within assigned accounts.
• Gathers account information regarding organizational structure (parent companies and subsidiaries), purchasing processes, compensation frameworks, and existing products/tools to create a prospective business report outlining potential business activities needed to secure accounts.
• Keeps consistent communication with the account base, driving revenue by positioning and demonstrating both new and existing products, preparing relevant RFPs, and successfully closing sales.
• Generates, develops, manages, and communicates expectations within assigned accounts while expanding the scope of engagement within each account.
• Identifies and qualifies new opportunities and prospects, assesses the scale of these opportunities, and articulates chances of closure.
• Maintains comprehensive and precise documentation of all activities in the company's CRM system.
• Possesses extensive knowledge of company products and their features compared to the strengths and weaknesses of competing products.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
• 10+ years of experience in education-related fields.
• 1+ years of experience in strategic selling across territories, generating and closing large opportunities.
• Proven history of selling and developing relationships with high-level customers.
• Demonstrated success in delivering exceptional levels of Customer Experience.
• Preference for candidates with established relationships in the industry.
• Bachelor’s degree or a higher level of education is preferred.
• Familiarity with Academic Curriculum.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with Sales Automation, Customer Relationship Management, or web-based software solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including skills in oral presentations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities with colleagues, superiors (across various functions and throughout the organization), and customers.
• Fully vested in the 401(k) Retirement Plan after five years of employment.
