This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a diverse portfolio of both consumer and commercial accounts at various stages of the legal process.
• Engage in both outbound and inbound communication with borrowers to explore account resolution options.
• Facilitate negotiations for settlements, payment plans, stipulations, and other recovery methods.
• Evaluate account documentation, payment trends, legal standing, and consumer financial situations to devise effective collection strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys, legal support teams, operational leadership, and compliance staff to enhance recovery initiatives.
• Identify accounts suitable for legal escalation, judgment enforcement, probate assessment, bankruptcy analysis, or other specialized recovery methods.
• Employ skip-tracing tools, investigative resources, and account research to track down consumers and assets.
• Maintain accurate records of all account activities and ensure detailed documentation within company systems.
• Skillfully address objections and resolve intricate account issues while upholding professionalism and compliance standards.
• Achieve or surpass established performance metrics related to recovery amounts, liquidation rates, productivity, and quality benchmarks.
• Stay updated on relevant federal, state, and client-specific regulatory standards.
• At least 3 years of experience in legal collections.
• Proven track record of success in production-oriented environments.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate settlements and payment plans effectively.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and objection-handling abilities.
• Capability to work independently while managing a large portfolio of accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Proficient in using collection systems and account management software.
• **Travel requirement:** Within the first 6 months of employment, all staff will need to travel to participate in the BHG All Oars Experience. After this event, travel is minimal—approximately 5% annually—for team on-site visits, meetings, and cross-functional collaboration.
