This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Introduces and markets Merit products to both new and existing clients while following up to ensure product delivery aligns with their needs.
• Conducts in-service presentations for clinicians, detailing new products and their applications.
• Fosters strong relationships with clients to comprehend and address their requirements.
• Collaborates with Merit marketing and sales teams to guarantee timely product delivery, stay updated on new offerings, and relay customer feedback for product development.
• Develops and sustains close connections with new clients and existing accounts through regular meetings to showcase and demonstrate Merit products, highlighting their advantages.
• Identifies potential customers and introduces them to the range of products provided by Merit.
• Maintains communication with clients to assess their satisfaction with the products.
• Recognizes opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction with offerings.
• Creates customized drawings for clients requiring bespoke kits or manifolds.
• Prepares and submits pricing agreements to clients for products.
• Follows up with clients to uncover opportunities for increasing sales volume and profitability.
• Addresses issues with clients regarding manufacturing or delivery challenges, if they arise.
• Compiles a monthly report summarizing sales results, contacts made, product change needs, and suggestions for enhancing Merit's procedures.
• Engages in various sales training and planning meetings to understand new products and marketing strategies, while sharing insights on sales objectives.
• Maintains a comprehensive understanding of Merit and competitor products, including their pros and cons.
• Establishes and meets personal performance objectives related to sales volume, new contacts, client sales, and other relevant sales outcomes.
• Contributes as a member of the Merit sales team to enhance Merit's market share by identifying methods to boost product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Travels via car, airplane, bus, etc., to fulfill sales responsibilities with clients.
• Undertakes additional sales-related tasks as necessary.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, ideally in the medical product sector.
• Proficient in effective communication and understanding the needs of others within a sales context.
• High level of personal motivation and ambition to achieve both personal and professional objectives.
• Exceptional oral presentation skills with the ability to think quickly to analyze problems and convey solutions to groups of medical technicians and clinicians.
• Capable of learning the operation of medical equipment and identifying potential usage enhancements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member to accomplish organizational goals.
• Competent in using business mathematics for calculating percentages and preparing financial and sales data.
• Strong personal organizational skills, including the ability to document and report information effectively.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work long hours to meet goals, as needed.
• Excellent driving record with no accidents in the past three years or no more than one traffic citation during that timeframe.
• Proven computer skills, preferably in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software applications.
