This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the designated territory to foster strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, laboratory contacts, retail partners, and other medical professionals within the assigned area.
• Utilize available resources to address customer needs and collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team comprising suppliers and internal resources.
• Manage the strategic direction for the territory; formulate sales strategies to achieve planned objectives and grow the business within the assigned region; maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities to meet or surpass sales targets.
• Conduct sales calls and maintain vendor relations with all current and prospective customers in the designated territory.
• Stay informed about competitor and industry activities, as well as new products and services, incorporating relevant data into the business plan; introduce new offerings to customers.
• Lead pricing strategies within the territory to ensure profitability.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and files essential for effective territory management.
• Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively at all customer locations.
• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a scientific field.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally in medical sales, laboratories, science, or the healthcare sector, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation abilities and customer relationship management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and internet usage.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• A strong background in the industry, healthcare, and science is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations as needed.
• Capable of passing necessary vendor credentialing for hospital/laboratory access.
