This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Introduces and markets Merit products to both new and existing accounts while following up with customers to ensure that delivered products align with their needs.
• Conducts in-service presentations for clinicians, detailing new products and their applications.
• Cultivates strong relationships with clients to guarantee their needs are recognized and fulfilled.
• Collaborates with Merit marketing and sales teams to ensure timely product delivery, stay updated on new offerings, and relay customer insights regarding product innovation.
• Builds and maintains strong connections with both new and existing clients by regularly meeting to present and demonstrate Merit products and highlight their advantages.
• Identifies potential customers and introduces them to the range of products offered by Merit.
• Maintains ongoing communication with clients to assess their satisfaction with products.
• Discovers opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction with products.
• Creates customized drawings for clients requiring tailored kits or manifolds.
• Prepares and submits pricing contracts for products to clients.
• Follows up with clients to identify opportunities for increasing sales volume and profitability.
• Addresses any issues with clients related to manufacturing or delivery problems as they arise.
• Makes decisions regarding product pricing within approved limits to maximize sales volume and profitability.
• Compiles a monthly report summarizing sales results, contacts made, product change needs, and suggestions for improving Merit's processes.
• Engages in various sales training and planning meetings to gain insights on new products and marketing promotions, while sharing information about sales objectives.
• Maintains a comprehensive understanding of Merit and competitor products, including their strengths and weaknesses.
• Sets and meets personal performance targets related to sales volume, new client contacts, and other related sales outcomes.
• Collaborates as a member of the Merit sales team to enhance Merit's market share by identifying methods to improve product quality and client satisfaction.
• Travels by car, airplane, bus, or other means to fulfill sales responsibilities with clients.
• Undertakes additional sales-related duties as required.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, preferably in the medical products sector.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and understand the needs of others in a sales context.
• High level of personal motivation and drive to achieve both personal and professional objectives.
• Exceptional oral presentation skills with the ability to quickly analyze problems and articulate solutions to groups of medical technicians and clinicians.
• Capacity to learn the operation of medical equipment and identify potential enhancements in its utilization.
• Ability to work effectively in a team to meet organizational goals.
• Proficient in business mathematics to calculate percentages and prepare financial and sales data.
• Strong personal organizational skills, including the ability to record, report, and document work performed.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work long hours to achieve goals as necessary.
• Excellent driving record with no accidents in the past three years or no more than one driving violation in the last three years.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, preferably with spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software programs.
• Multiple shifts and hours available: Days, Swing (Evening), and Nights.
