This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the entire sales process, encompassing outbound prospecting, live demonstrations, proposal management, contract negotiations, and successful closing.
• Take ownership of and implement a go-to-market (GTM) strategy for your designated territory, pinpointing high-priority clients and innovatively entering accounts.
• Conduct customized, impactful product demonstrations that showcase Kaizen’s values, address client pain points, and align with their objectives.
• Be self-driven to allocate up to 50% of your time in the field as needed—participating in conferences, delivering in-person demos, conducting educational sessions, and nurturing relationships with public sector leaders.
• Keep active communication with prospects, fostering momentum and enhancing relationships throughout extended sales cycles.
• Introduce innovative strategies to government sales—creativity and curiosity are highly encouraged!
• Collaborate closely with operations, partnerships, and fellow GTM team members to exchange insights and synchronize outbound strategies.
• Work in partnership with Design and Engineering to convey customer feedback and assist in shaping the product roadmap.
• Cultivate a thorough understanding of product features and remain informed on competitive dynamics and the evolving landscape of govtech.
• Ensure daily pipeline cleanliness in the CRM, maintaining visibility and alignment across the entire team.
• 4–7 years of sales experience, preferably within a high-growth startup environment (bonus points for experience in SLED).
• Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle enterprise sales processes utilizing MEDDPIC, Challenger, and Force methodologies.
• Experience in field sales.
• Confident in conducting software demonstrations independently.
• Proficient with sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, etc.
• High emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and a considerate approach to building relationships.
