This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Responsible for developing, managing, and implementing the sales strategy in conjunction with the Senior Account Executive and Regional VP of Sales for a designated sales territory.
• Aimed at increasing market share by identifying specific clients where Air Methods has available resources, securing agreements (Preferred Provider Agreements), and enhancing existing relationships to achieve defined KPIs and annual objectives.
• Concentrated on boosting call volume from current clients and all contracts.
• Expand business by marketing Air Methods air medical services to targeted customers within the sales area, striving to meet annual KPIs set by Air Methods.
• Identify opportunities to promote Air Methods’ value-added services to customers in the region.
• Collaborates closely with the Senior Account Executive and RVP of Sales, providing timely updates on business prospects, including competitive market insights.
• Work in partnership with the Area Manager to ensure a tailored business development strategy is in place to grow existing accounts and meet KPI targets.
• Responsible for thorough knowledge of market dynamics, including competitor activities, changes in hospital service lines, openings or closures of hospitals, competitor sales tactics, billing rates, and aircraft types.
• Coordinate with the Area Manager for customer service recovery efforts.
• Monitor daily patient transport activities and analyze volume trends.
• Oversee the ordering and distribution of marketing materials for the business segment.
• Participate in conferences, regulatory meetings, and engage with local government affairs.
• Maintain close communication with other Air Methods departments to align daily operations and Outreach Education programs that support the business plan in a financially responsible way.
• Ensure that internal stakeholders are informed about the business development strategy and have access to marketing resources and key talking points regarding significant sales initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with three to five years of related experience and/or training in aviation or medical and medical transportation services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of sales experience.
• Proven understanding of the healthcare and air medical sectors.
• Experience in medical transportation services or healthcare business development/sales is preferred.
