• Take ownership of the entire sales process: from discovery and demonstration to business case development, negotiation, and closing.
• Oversee sales cycles lasting 2 to 6 months, engaging with a variety of buyer personas including marketing, product, technology, and legal executives.
• Qualify prospects and provide education, as privacy is an evolving field and clients require solutions to establish trust with their customers.
• Ensure accurate CRM maintenance and reliable forecasting.
• Generate around 25% of your own pipeline through outbound efforts, referrals, and networking; the remainder will be generated and supported by the marketing team.
• Identify priority target accounts within assigned sectors such as edtech, HR tech, fintech, consumer applications, and other areas we are actively exploring.
• Experiment with messaging aimed at new buyer personas and relay findings to the marketing and product teams.
• A minimum of 5 years in B2B SaaS sales with a proven track record of meeting quotas—we will want to see your performance metrics.
• Proficient in sourcing a portion of your own pipeline; you have the skills to open doors.
• Highly organized and process-oriented—maintain a clean CRM, provide accurate forecasts, and manage multiple active deals without losing track.
• Possess strong discovery skills: you comprehend the buyer's challenges before presenting your solution.
• Capable of functioning without a well-established playbook or defined processes.
• Experience in edtech, health tech, or fintech—industries where compliance and privacy are significant purchasing factors.
• Background in selling solutions related to privacy, security, compliance, or data governance.
• Familiarity with entering new verticals with minimal prior activity.
