This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Act as the primary liaison for Meritain's products and services while generating demand among customers.
• Formulate and implement account management strategies for strategic, multi-geography, or high-tier business portfolios.
• Oversee service-level discussions, process enhancements, benefits-plan operations, service-gap identification, root-cause analysis, and solution formulation.
• Develop and execute renewal strategies to meet margin, customer retention, membership, persistency, and renewal objectives.
• Prepare clients for renewals by clarifying benefit-plan cost drivers, providing cost-reduction solutions, and delivering renewals to clients and producers.
• Create complex financial recommendations and present them to management.
• Assist New Business Sales with finalist meetings for new business opportunities.
• Evaluate competitive landscapes and devise sales strategies to take advantage of market opportunities.
• Design and implement strategic cross-functional annual business plans and customer account strategies.
• Maintain and nurture a profitable book of business through effective renewal coordination.
• Collaborate across Meritain and various business functions to comprehend customer needs and resolve key issues.
• Direct Customer Strategy & Relationship Management for daily contacts, senior management, and key decision makers.
• Manage and lead producer relationships for designated customers.
• Coordinate communications regarding Meritain business updates and operational support.
• Take ownership of financial management, renewal strategies, upsell initiatives, pricing, negotiations, and profitability alignment for the assigned portfolio.
• Deliver customer reporting with analytics, trends, and recommendations for additional programs and services.
• Lead client presentations and engage with both internal and external parties.
• Travel to offsite locations for in-person meetings as required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the industry as an Account Manager or Account Executive.
• Experience in the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) sector, health plan, healthcare consulting, or employee benefits environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate within highly matrixed organizations and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Exceptional relationship management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to influence outcomes and drive initiatives without direct authority.
• A strong desire to contribute to organizational growth, team development, and long-term strategic planning.
• Health & Life license is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Preferred knowledge of advocacy, navigation, care management, centers of excellence, or alternative health solution models.
• Experience with strategic vendor, advocacy, or navigation partner relationships is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to offsite locations for in-person meetings as needed.
