This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with nursing schools, medical schools, academic health systems, and simulation centers within your designated area.
• Conduct consultative discovery sessions to comprehend curriculum challenges, learner outcome objectives, and institutional priorities.
• Develop and present persuasive business cases that align educational results with institutional objectives and return on investment.
• Oversee multi-year agreement opportunities from initial discussions to contract signing, engaging with faculty, simulation leadership, academic leadership, procurement, and IT.
• Showcase how OMS facilitates curriculum delivery, competency-based education, learner engagement, and assessment, coordinating with clinical education and solutions colleagues as required.
• Navigate university procurement, purchasing, and contracting procedures until closure.
• Cultivate robust, multi-faceted relationships with simulation directors, faculty, program leaders, deans, and budget owners.
• Represent OMS in the field at academic conferences, simulation events, and nursing/medical education meetings; this role requires a significant field presence.
• Collaborate with Marketing and BDRs to formulate target account strategies and enhance pipeline coverage.
• Provide market intelligence and buyer insights back to the commercial team.
• Minimum of 7 years of quota-carrying experience in SaaS, healthcare technology, or clinical education technology sales.
• Demonstrated success in selling to nursing schools, medical schools, academic health systems, or the broader healthcare academia.
• Proven ability to manage intricate, multi-stakeholder consultative sales cycles—including multi-year agreements—from prospecting to closure.
• Experience in building trust with mission-driven, clinically-focused buyers; understanding that simulation directors and nursing faculty are not typical software purchasers.
• Strong instincts for new business development: adept at outbound efforts, pipeline creation, and managing lengthy institutional buying cycles without losing momentum.
• Exceptional discovery, presentation, and commercial negotiation capabilities.
• Strong discipline in forecasting and CRM management (HubSpot preferred).
• Willingness to undertake significant field travel—approximately 50% of your time—along with overnight stays and conference participation.
