This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• This position is field-based, and applicants should reside within a reasonable distance from the main city.
• The Account Consultant role oversees sales processes for AbbVie's therapeutic offerings in line with approved marketing strategies.
• Achieving assigned sales targets is accomplished through consultative and value-driven selling techniques, along with comprehensive account management while executing the U.S. Marketing Plan.
• Account Consultants deliver technical product knowledge and support to ensure customer adoption of the product range while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Effective utilization of sales and data resources will boost productivity and contribute to meeting or surpassing franchise objectives.
• Adheres to required reports, requests, and promotional compliance while efficiently managing AbbVie field assets.
• Promote products to achieve or exceed sales targets in both community/private practices and hospitals/health systems.
• Identify and address customer needs (training, clinical, operational, reimbursement) using the appropriate AbbVie resources.
• Deliver expert anatomical and procedural information and training, including the proper use of anatomical terminology to train on injection paradigms/postures while emphasizing various anatomical and injection insights and considerations.
• Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other key hospital personnel.
• Collaborate with other Account Specialists to promote products for approved indications and conduct individual, departmental, or group resident/fellow trainings within hospital/health system accounts.
• Comply with all company policies, required reports, requests, and promotional compliance while effectively managing AbbVie field assets.
• Skillfully utilize AbbVie's sales and data resources to enhance productivity and growth of AbbVie products while implementing the U.S. Marketing Plan.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree requires at least five (5) years of technical experience, with three (3) or more years in sales preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• A documented history of strong sales performance, preferably in a clinical/technical/consultative sales role involving multiple decision-makers, is preferred.
• Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products is preferred, in both health systems and private practice settings.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test while meeting safe driving requirements.
• Capability to manage a complex sales process, quickly learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information, and communicate/present/train to diverse audiences.
• Ability to lift/pull training models weighing between 25-100 lbs. and meet necessary hospital credentialing/vaccination requirements.
• Driving a personal vehicle, company car, or truck, or using powered material handling equipment.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel adequately to cover territory, including overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• An essential requirement of this position is to meet all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing standards to gain and maintain access to facilities and organizations within your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
