This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• This position is field-based, and applicants should reside within a reasonable distance from the main city.
• The Account Consultant role is responsible for managing the sales processes of AbbVie's therapeutic products, aligning with approved marketing strategies.
• Sales targets are achieved through consultative and value-driven selling methods, alongside thorough account management while executing the US Marketing Plan.
• Account Consultants deliver technical product knowledge and support to facilitate customer adoption of the product portfolio, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Effective utilization of sales and data resources will boost productivity and foster growth to meet or surpass franchise objectives.
• The role involves promoting a product to achieve or exceed sales targets in community/private practices as well as hospitals and health systems.
• Identify and address customer needs (training, clinical, operational, reimbursement) with the appropriate AbbVie resources.
• Deliver expert anatomical and procedural information and training, employing the correct anatomical terminology to instruct on injection paradigms and techniques while emphasizing various anatomical and injection insights.
• Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other key hospital personnel.
• Work collaboratively with other Account Specialists to promote the product for approved indications and conduct individual, department, or group resident/fellow trainings within hospital/health system accounts.
• Adhere to all company policies, complete required reports and requests, maintain promotional compliance, and effectively manage AbbVie field assets.
• Efficiently leverage AbbVie's sales and data resources to enhance productivity and expand AbbVie products while executing the U.S. Marketing Plan.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• At least five (5) years of relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is necessary, with three (3) or more years of experience in sales preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• A documented history of strong sales performance, ideally in a clinical/technical/consultative sales role involving multiple decision-makers, is preferred.
• Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products is preferred, including exposure within both health systems and private practice.
• A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving standards.
• Capability to manage complex sales, swiftly learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information, and effectively communicate/present/train to diverse audiences.
• Ability to lift and pull training models weighing between 25-100lbs, and meet necessary hospital credentialing and vaccination requirements.
• Willingness to travel adequately to cover the territory, including potential overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• Must be able to drive a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or operate powered material handling equipment.
• A critical requirement of this position is to fulfill all relevant health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain access to facilities and organizations within your assigned territory.
• Candidates must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials, which may involve background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting, and specific licenses mandated by individual states or cities.
