This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Accountable for establishing and maintaining effective long-term relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction with decision makers and influencers within a designated group of customer accounts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
• Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that encompasses approaches for both new business and existing major key accounts.
• Work closely with members of the Ovid Sales Team to sustain and expand existing accounts while also independently seeking new opportunities across the territory.
• Create sales strategies for both prospects and assigned accounts, managing deals effectively throughout the sales cycle.
• Maintain a sales pipeline of opportunities to meet sales goals through proactive prospecting and account management.
• Plan, organize, and implement sales activities to meet established revenue targets.
• Cultivate and strengthen customer relationships while generating new business within the assigned region.
• Deliver engaging presentations to prospective and existing customers in targeted markets.
• Conduct roughly 180 face-to-face on-site sales visits annually.
• Strategize and execute promotional activities while monitoring sales efforts for accounts in the region.
• Prepare quotes and proposals, providing relevant information on terms and conditions.
• Participate in regional and national trade shows, conferences, and sales meetings.
• Collect and report data on market trends, competitive products, and pricing to management.
• Document sales activities, new prospects, and all account information in Salesforce.com (CRM).
• Compile and submit weekly financial reports for the region.
• Demonstrated success with several years of field sales experience.
• Experience in complex sales and solution selling techniques.
• Consultative sales approach complemented by strong presentation abilities.
• Knowledge of the publishing/information industry and/or clinical and corporate markets.
• Familiarity with Ovid products and services is advantageous.
• Proficient in Windows, Internet/WWW, CRM applications, and Salesforce.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and German.
• Excellent communication skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments within Health Research.
• Self-motivated, quick learner with disciplined time management and a results-oriented mindset.
• Highly organized, capable of structured work, and effective in managing tasks and priorities.
