Access Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Providing exceptional customer service skills, professional demeanor, and service excellence, conducts telephone screenings for clients utilizing SCS Access.

• Assesses client eligibility for services and confirms insurance coverage or offers information on sliding scale options when applicable.

• Efficiently gathers all necessary information (e.g., demographic and clinical data) and accurately documents it in the electronic database.

• Exhibits knowledge and proficiency in effective triage and intervention, ensuring appropriate referrals are made and follow-up is conducted to confirm connections.

• Successfully routes/transitions clients to the CIC/Crisis team and/or identified program needs as necessary.

• Fosters a departmental culture of collaboration and teamwork with other Seven Counties Services departments, community agencies, hospitals, mental health consumers, and the general public.

• Ensures adherence to all established organizational and Access standards.

• Complies with all departmental and organizational requirements as specified.

• Carries out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Services, Human Behavior Services, or a related field of study is preferred.

• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare customer service or call center environment with a bachelor’s degree, or

• Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare customer service or call center environment with a High School Diploma/GED.

• Experience in a high-volume call center is preferred.

• Crisis counseling experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Software (CRM), Microsoft 365/Teams/Cloud-based phone systems (such as Zoom Phone Now), and Electronic Health Records (preferably Netsmart myAvatar) is preferred.

• Proficiency in word processing/data entry skills, general computer knowledge, and associated skills is required.
