ABAP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document ABAP code for RICEFW objects.

• Optimize, enhance, and provide operational and maintenance support for ABAP applications that perform financial and business management functions on SAP S/4HANA, ECC, CRM, SRM, and TMS.

• Analyze customer business operations to confirm requirements and define scope.

• Recommend process improvements and assist with level-of-effort estimations.

• Create and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents.

• Conduct unit, integration, and release testing.

• Support end-user acceptance testing.

• Engage in production operations and release management support.

• Design and develop modern SAP Fiori user interfaces.

• Implement transactional, factsheet, and analytical Fiori applications.

• Enhance standard applications utilizing the enhancement framework.

• Design and model OData services using the Gateway Service Builder.

• Deploy applications within the existing application Launchpad environment.

• Ensure SAP ABAP capabilities conform to DoD transportation doctrine, regulatory requirements, and Clean Core principles.

• Provide support for complex integrations across DoD and commercial transportation ecosystems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Clearance (minimum requirement).

• At least 10+ years of development experience.

• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.

• Proven experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting applications related to SAP ECC 6.0 or higher, SAP S/4HANA, and other IT systems.

• Previous experience supporting USTRANSCOM (USTC) transportation operations, systems, or programs.

• Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver ABAP Stack environments.

• Experience with ABAP Objects, ABAP Reports, ABAP online transactions, and Web Dynpro.

• Proficiency in BAPI, ALE, IDOCs, PI, SOAP, XML, Web Services, Proxies, APIs, and REST services.

• Experience with BOPF and backend OData services.

• Knowledge of User Exits, BADIs, and Batch Programming.

• Familiarity with SAP UI5 technologies and tools including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, VS Code, and Eclipse.

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA data modeling using HANA Studio, ADT, AMDP, CDS views, Native SQL, database procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA, and HANA Live models.

• Understanding and experience with the ABAP RESTful Programming Model.

• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem analysis skills.

• Strong knowledge of SAP standard functionality utilizing ABAP Objects and modern SAP technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP ABAP Data Dictionary and other SAP repository objects.
