This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collaborate closely with ABA and behavioral health providers along with their billing teams to gather accurate patient information and communicate authorization decisions.
β’ Coordinate with insurers to confirm patient eligibility and benefits, efficiently complete prior authorizations via insurance portals or direct calls to insurers. Ensure timely authorization approval by following up with insurers and supplying additional information as needed.
β’ Manage multiple prior authorizations at the same time and develop a process to guarantee top-tier performance.
β’ Comprehend ABA and other behavioral health-specific workflows, including the creation of treatment plans and re-authorizations.
β’ Become a subject matter expert on behavioral health prior authorization workflows for major insurers.
β’ Collaborate with Silna Product and Engineering teams to share insights about the prior authorization process, aiding in the automation of certain elements.
β’ Effectively communicate across various stakeholders.
β’ Commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
β’ The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of insurance policies and ABA billing procedures.
β’ 2+ years of experience in completing prior authorizations for ABA (preferred) or other behavioral health services, with a strong grasp of benefits including deductibles, co-insurance, out-of-pocket expenses, and benefit exclusions.
β’ Familiarity with payor portals and experience in communicating with payors.
β’ Strong work ethic: ability to operate with urgency, work autonomously, maintain high organization, be detail-oriented, and effectively manage multiple tasks.
β’ Nice to have: Familiarity with provider software, including Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMR/EHR) such as CentralReach and Rethink.
