3rd Cook, Sandwich Maker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Prepare food items in accordance with prep lists and standard LandSea recipes.

• Assemble sandwiches, wraps, and salads based on recipes, portion standards, and customer requests.

• Adhere to hygiene standards, manage food storage, and comply with health regulations.

• Clean and sanitize prep areas, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts.

• Restock ingredients, monitor freshness, and report low supplies.

• Maintain the sandwich fridge and made-to-order sandwich bar.

• Ensure accurate food rotation to uphold quality and freshness.

• Collaborate efficiently with kitchen and front-of-house staff during peak times.

• Follow safety practices, procedures, and guidelines.

• Work scheduled 10- or 12-hour shifts in a remote camp and reside on-site during scheduled shifts.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least one year of experience in prep work or food service-related roles is preferred.

• Familiarity with food preparation, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is advantageous.

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

• Basic math and counting skills are necessary.

• Capability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently.

• Team-oriented individual.

• Experience in a camp kitchen is a plus.

• Food Safe Level 1 certification is mandatory.

• Completion of LandSea and site-specific Orientation and Health and Safety training.

• Drug and Alcohol Clearance required.

• Criminal Record Check Clearance is necessary.

• Submission of a Health Questionnaire is required.

• Valid Government Issued ID for travel may be needed.

• Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing.

• Commitment to working in a drug- and alcohol-free environment.
