3rd Cook, Sandwich Maker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Prepare all food items by utilizing prep lists and following standard LandSea recipes.

• Assemble sandwiches, wraps, and salads according to recipes, portion standards, and customer preferences.

• Adhere to hygiene standards, ensure correct food storage, and comply with health regulations.

• Clean and sanitize prep areas, utensils, and equipment throughout the duration of the shift.

• Restock ingredients, monitor their freshness, and report any low supplies.

• Maintain the sandwich fridge and the made-to-order sandwich bar.

• Ensure accurate food rotation to uphold quality and freshness.

• Collaborate efficiently with kitchen and front-of-house staff during peak times.

• Follow all safety practices, procedures, and guidelines.

• Reside on-site at a remote camp during scheduled shifts and leave the camp during designated breaks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience in prep work or a food service-related role is preferred.

• Familiarity with food preparation, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is advantageous.

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

• Demonstrates basic math and counting abilities.

• Capable of working independently and efficiently.

• A strong team player.

• Experience in a camp kitchen is an asset.

• Food Safe Level 1 certification is required.

• Completion of LandSea and site-specific Orientation and Health and Safety training.

• Must pass Drug and Alcohol Clearance.

• Clearance of Criminal Record Check is necessary.

• Submission of a Health Questionnaire is required.

• Valid Government Issued ID may be required for travel purposes.

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is mandatory.

• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts and multiple consecutive days.

• Must be able to meet physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing.

• Willingness to work in a drug- and alcohol-free environment.
