This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Oversees the local implementation of the 340B program.
• Employs 340B software to uphold compliance with the Office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA).
• Guarantees that the 340B pharmacy program consistently adheres to federal regulations related to 340B.
• Designs, implements, and documents self-audits of the 340B process.
• Coordinates and ensures resolution of any findings.
• Reviews and monitors all service points where 340B participation occurs to verify compliance with policies and procedures, as well as covered entity and “covered patient” eligibility.
• Responsible for managing and resolving pharmacy billing issues, ensuring that appropriate systems checks are in place to avoid billing complications.
• Assesses patient eligibility for both qualified and non-qualified patients in hospital-based mixed-use areas by examining patient medical records, insurance plans, and hospital status.
• Acts as the primary internal program coordinator and point of contact for all 340B-related issues.
• Identifies opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements to achieve greater compliance.
• Collaborates with system and local leadership to refine and expand service offerings.
• Oversees the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
• Monitors purchasing records and thoroughly documents utilization, savings, problem areas, and any exceptions or discrepancies.
• Tracks inventory levels to maintain an effective balance between product availability and cost-efficient inventory management.
• Serves as the key coordinator for all mock, HRSA, and manufacturer audits.
• Maintains a state of “audit readiness” at all times.
• Supervises all audits conducted by independent external auditors.
• Aids in monitoring reports to ensure compliance with the program.
• Must hold an Associate Degree in Business or Computer Science, or possess three years of direct experience in 340B pharmacy coordination.
• Must be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board with a Kentucky registry OR have over 3 years of direct experience in 340B pharmacy coordination.
• Must obtain Pharmacy Technician Certification within 6 months.
• PTCB Certification is mandatory for on-site work in a Baptist Health Pharmacy.
