
Zone Safety Specialist, West & Central Regions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Championing and promoting the organization's safety culture within the designated geographic area of the Safety Specialist.
• Overseeing investigations of workplace injuries and illnesses to establish OSHA Recordability status; suggesting and executing suitable corrective actions.
• Leveraging reporting and trend analysis to convey safety performance in the area of responsibility.
• Creating and executing improvement initiatives for markets and regions facing safety challenges.
• Ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations, including those set forth by OSHA and the Department of Labor, within the designated area.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4-year degree).
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in an Occupational Health and Safety position (experience in the retail industry is preferred).
• Proficient in conducting employee injury investigations, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience in managing compliance programs for Federal, State, and Local regulations (familiarity with OSHA and DOL agencies is preferred).
• Strong understanding and expertise in Microsoft Office Suite is essential, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
