Youth Leadership Intern – Fall 2026

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide technical assistance with program facilitation for the Mental Health Advocacy Institute, and as needed, for the Mental Health Advocacy Academy and the High School Advisory Board.

• Develop resources and offer feedback for the Your Voice is Your Power Resource Hub.

• Assist with administrative tasks for the youth leadership program, including sending mass communications and tracking participant information.

• Help in creating supplemental materials for youth leadership programs, such as one-pagers, worksheets, activities, etc.

• Offer support to team members in the Youth Leadership department as needed.

• Review and give feedback on content and materials from students enrolled in youth leadership programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Interest in youth leadership programming with a focus on mental health and resource development for both K-12 and Higher Education.

• Availability to work during the Fall Mental Health Advocacy Institute sessions on Wednesday evenings once a month.

• Must be currently attending or have previously attended a college or university.

• Strong writing and editing abilities.

• Excellent leadership and facilitation skills.

• Proficient public speaking skills.

• Strong time and project management capabilities.

• Experience in student leadership roles during high school or college, ideally in both environments.

• Proven ability to work effectively in teams under tight deadlines.

• Capacity to respond with appropriate urgency to situations and events requiring quick action or turnaround.

• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Dropbox.

• All applicants must be currently enrolled in, or have previously attended, a U.S.-based college or university.

• All applicants must be able to complete a work authorization (I-9) during onboarding.

• All applicants must be able to fulfill the entire internship program during the specified dates in the job description.
