This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Listen to both live and recorded communications in Yiddish, producing both verbal and written synopses and transcriptions.

• Relay essential information to the Client (law enforcement personnel) promptly.

• Create and maintain a comprehensive list of slang terms and codes utilized by a specific group or organization throughout the project or case.

• Establish and uphold a voice library for the entire duration of the project.

• Transcribe and translate relevant calls and documents as directed by the supervisor.

• Generate court-ready transcriptions of relevant calls, chats, and documents.

• Utilize project reference tools and materials to ensure precision and uniformity.

• Keep a daily productivity log in accordance with project specifications.

• High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification.

• At least one (1) year of translation experience in the required language.

• Understanding of Yiddish colloquialisms, slang terms, and regional expressions.

• Acquainted with SMS shorthand, social media jargon, and web chat communication.

• Exceptional verbal and written proficiency in the target language, including precise grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

• Must achieve a score of 3 or higher on a third-party language assessment (Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing) in both English and Yiddish.

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Capability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.

• Strong skills in prioritization and time management.

• Ability to follow technical guidance and integrate feedback from various sources.

• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
