This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the strategic vision, roadmap, and yearly priorities for learner labs, ensuring alignment with the goals of Learner Resources.
• Convert the strategy of Learner Resources into initiatives, outcomes, and performance metrics at the lab level.
• Lead the design, implementation, assessment, and expansion of programs, services, and delivery models for learner labs.
• Act as the primary expert on operations and academic support strategies for learner labs.
• Provide direct oversight, coaching, and performance management for the staff of learner labs.
• Establish expectations for instructional quality, learner engagement, and distribution of workload.
• Assist in the hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of faculty in learner labs.
• Evaluate faculty performance outcomes and collaborate with leadership to address any developmental or resource needs.
• Manage scheduling and capacity planning to ensure adequate learner coverage across labs.
• Ensure that operations across all learner lab services are efficient, compliant, and centered around the learner.
• Take ownership of performance metrics for learner labs and accountability for outcomes.
• Implement quality assurance processes to guarantee consistency, equity, and effectiveness in learner support.
• Provide updates, insights, and recommendations regarding learner lab performance to senior leadership.
• Collaborate across functions with faculty, learner success teams, and other departments to meet learner needs and enhance persistence and completion rates.
• Maintain consistent communication with learners about available resources and support pathways.
• Represent learner labs in institutional projects, initiatives, and working groups.
• Provide direct instruction or teaching support to learners only in exceptional situations, such as pilot programs, temporary coverage gaps, or quality assurance requirements.
• A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an educational setting is essential.
• Proficiency in web-based communication platforms, as well as Microsoft software systems and tools, is required.
• Familiarity with virtual reference services utilizing chat tools, email, and videoconferencing software is necessary.
• Two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience in resource development is preferred.
• Background in teaching or coaching is preferred.
