RFP & Proposal Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct research to identify grant, RFP, and funding opportunities that align with Speer's strategic goals and focus areas.

• Oversee the entire RFP response process, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder contributions across various teams.

• Compose, edit, and format persuasive proposals, applications, and accompanying documents.

• Customize each submission to emphasize Speer's strengths, differentiators, and distinctive capabilities.

• Ensure all submissions comply with technical, content, and formatting standards while upholding a high quality across multiple proposals.

• Maintain a collection of frequently used documents, templates, and case studies for reuse in proposals.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, funding opportunities, and best practices in grant writing and procurement.

• Develop internal timelines and checklists to adhere to critical deadlines.

• Organize meetings, collect necessary information, and clarify submission requirements.

• Monitor and report on the status of submissions and their outcomes to inform future strategies.

• Demonstrated success in writing winning grants, RFPs, or other funding proposals.

• Strong writing and editing abilities, with a talent for producing clear, persuasive, and professional content.

• Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines and requirements seamlessly.

• Proactive and self-motivated, with a knack for taking initiative and anticipating needs before they arise.

• Strategic thinker adept at quickly understanding new concepts and tailoring writing for various audiences and opportunities.

• Collaborative team player who effectively engages with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather insights and enhance proposals.

• Comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities can change rapidly and innovation is a constant.

• Strong project management skills with experience in coordinating cross-functional deliverables.

• Nice to Haves: Familiarity with Canadian and international funding programs relevant to health tech, AI, or deep tech.

• Understanding of data-driven proposal strategies, compliance frameworks, or procurement regulations.

• Experience with Figma.

• Proficiency in French is a plus.
