This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• In the role of Workplace Design Manager, you will take charge of overseeing and managing the design and planning of our global workplace environments for Stryker.
• You will collaborate with both internal and external design partners to create workplaces that improve customer experience, boost employee productivity and engagement, while optimizing costs to facilitate scalability and growth in our real estate portfolio.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Stryker’s global workplace design strategy to nurture a flexible, inclusive, and agile work culture.
• Oversee design projects from initial concept through to post-occupancy evaluation at various global locations, ensuring compliance with the Stryker Workplace Design Guidelines.
• Lead both internal and external design teams to produce innovative, purpose-driven workspaces that resonate with our brand, values, and business objectives.
• Utilize data from surveys, workplace studies, and analytics to inform design choices and continually enhance space utilization.
• Advocate for agile work environments and space-sharing concepts, accommodating diverse employee work styles (remote, hybrid, on-site).
• Apply agile design principles that enable spaces to be easily reconfigured in response to evolving needs or organizational changes.
• Collaborate with the Stryker Real Estate & Facilities team to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess the effectiveness of workplace initiatives.
• Assist in change management efforts, providing guidance to employees during transitions to new work environments.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Business, or a related field is mandatory for this position.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in workplace design, corporate real estate, or facilities management is essential.
• At least 4 years of experience in designing and implementing activity-based and flexible work environments is required to qualify for this role.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex global projects is needed.
• At least 4 years of experience with workplace analytics and utilizing data to guide design decisions is required.
• Relevant industry certifications or licenses such as LEED, WELL, or NCIDQ are necessary.
• Experience in leading change management initiatives associated with workspace transformation is preferred.
• A Master’s degree is considered an asset.
