Staff Product Designer – Design Systems, Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, manage, and oversee master Figma libraries and templates to establish a unified source of truth for all teams.

• Assist tool teams in proactively understanding the appropriate components to utilize, when to use them, and the reasoning behind their usage during the design discovery phase through structured design critiques and sync meetings.

• Perform regular audits across different channels (e.g., Web vs. Mobile) to pinpoint inconsistencies and advocate for standardization.

• Identify common issues when various teams require patterns that are absent from the core design system; collaborate with Communities of Practice and Accessibility teams.

• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation, process templates, and onboarding resources to enhance the workflow of UX professionals.

• Serve as the team's expert in Figma and AI tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree along with 7+ years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in design software such as Figma, Miro, Adobe, or other design tools.

• Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
