Working Student / Intern – Development & AI Engineering for SAP Business AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and implement services and applications utilizing SAP CAP on the SAP Business Technology Platform, covering everything from data modeling to service deployment.

• Contribute to the development of AI agents leveraging SAP AI Core, Generative AI Hub, Joule extensions, tool-calling, MCP servers, and RAG on enterprise data.

• Engage in prompt and context design as part of engineering tasks.

• Create small evaluations and test setups to assess the reliability of agents.

• Develop frontends using SAPUI5/Fiori Elements or lightweight web applications.

• Streamline CI/CD processes, deployment pipelines, and repetitive tasks through automation scripts.

• Prototype innovative ideas for our product offerings.

• Document and present developed solutions within the team and occasionally to clients.

• Collaborate within a small team to address real customer challenges and produce production-quality code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, starting from the third semester.

• Proficient programming skills in at least one language: JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python.

• Capability to independently convert problems into coding solutions.

• Fundamental understanding of Git, REST/OData APIs, and relational databases (SQL).

• Practical experience with LLMs, agents, or coding assistants.

• Organized and self-reliant working style.

• Proficiency in German at a business level.

• Confidence in English communication, both verbal and written.

• Initial familiarity with SAP BTP, CAP, HANA Cloud, SAPUI5, or ABAP is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience with cloud platforms like SAP BTP, Azure, AWS, or GCP, as well as Docker and Kubernetes, is beneficial but not essential.

• Personal projects, a GitHub profile, or participation in hackathons is a plus but not required.

• Basic knowledge of business processes in finance, procurement, or sales is preferred but not necessary.

• Prior knowledge of SAP is explicitly not a requirement.
