
Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee workers' compensation defense cases from their initiation to final resolution.
• Conduct depositions and represent in various California WCAB venues as required.
• Independently manage cases with diverse levels of complexity.
• Create proactive legal strategies to effectively resolve claims.
• Negotiate and settle both cases-in-chief and lien matters.
• Draft pleadings, legal motions, reports, and correspondence.
• Prepare opening reports, hearing reports, and deposition reports in line with client guidelines.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and provide consistent case updates.
• Address client inquiries within a 24-hour timeframe.
• Review legal documents for precision, formatting, filing requirements, signatures, service requirements, and adherence to court rules.
• Ensure compliance with all client guidelines and deadlines.
• At least 1 year of experience in California workers' compensation defense (mandatory).
• Valid license to practice law in California.
• Strong experience in litigation, negotiation, and depositions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to independently manage a caseload.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Client-oriented with the aptitude to establish and maintain professional relationships.
