Staff Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Manage designated litigation and non-litigated legal tasks.

• Evaluate substantive and procedural legal issues as well as factual matters.

• Perform legal research.

• Proactively formulate and present defense strategies on behalf of clients.

• Draft pleadings, depositions, motions, and briefs autonomously.

• Deliver timely communications, information, legal counsel, and additional services to clients and claims customers.

• Prepare and present witnesses and evidence during trials, judicial and administrative hearings, and alternative dispute resolution processes.

• Offer insights to the Managing Attorney, Assistant Managing Attorney, staff, clients, and claims customers.

• Travel to designated venues for appearances as required.

• Report directly to the Assistant Managing Attorney.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from a recognized law school.

• Active license to practice law in good standing in the State of Illinois.

• Licenses in Indiana and/or Wisconsin are a plus.

• At least 3 years of legal experience in Litigation.

• Excellent legal research and writing abilities.

• Capability to independently manage cases from inception to trial.
