Workers Compensation Claims Management Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Supporting and guiding employers in the management of their Workers’ Compensation claims

• Collaborating with claims examiners to implement best practices for optimal outcomes

• Evaluating loss runs and claim handler status reports

• Developing strategies and negotiating to facilitate case resolutions

• Recording results, trends, and outcomes

• Producing professional deliverables using Salesforce

• Assessing Experience Rating Forms

• Projecting X-Mod forecasts

• Understanding the basis for WCIRB recalculation opportunities

• Engaging daily with various employers, claim examiners, and insurance brokers

• Demonstrating strong organizational skills to manage and adhere to tight schedules

• Ensuring consistent follow-up and scheduling of reports

• Leading and conducting in-person or telephonic claims reviews

• Interpreting and summarizing data for employers

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation claims advocacy

• Relevant certifications such as WCCA, WCCP, ARM, Self-Insurance certificate, CPDM, or similar credentials

• Previous experience in a carrier/TPA claim examiner role

• Familiarity with public school districts is essential for this position

• Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time and budgets efficiently

• Excellent analytical skills and experience in reviewing complex claims are necessary

• Proficient computer skills (MSFT Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) are required

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize data concisely

• Confidence in recommending, persuading, negotiating, and achieving desired results

• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites is required
