This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Act as the main administrator for Workday Financials and the primary support contact for the Finance team, addressing configuration issues, user requests, and system inquiries with exceptional responsiveness and quality.
• Identify and resolve configuration issues within Workday Financials across various modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and/or Banking & Settlement.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to collect, document, and convert business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions.
• Facilitate and implement enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements in Workday Financials, overseeing everything from requirements gathering to testing and change management.
• Engage in Workday's semi-annual release cycles by reviewing release notes, evaluating functional impacts, coordinating user acceptance testing, and managing deployment.
• Keep accurate and current system documentation, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials.
• Work together with the wider Enterprise Systems team on cross-functional projects involving Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, Integrations, and third-party connected systems.
• Assist Finance leadership in supporting strategic objectives such as process automation, reporting enhancements, and scalability initiatives linked to company growth.
• Serve as a liaison between Finance and IT, ensuring that system changes are implemented with the necessary controls, testing rigor, and minimal disruption to financial operations.
• Oversee support tickets and project tasks through a structured intake and prioritization process, proactively communicating status and expectations to stakeholders.
• 3-5+ years of practical experience in Workday Financials configuration and support within a business analyst or functional analyst role.
• Extensive knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, with the capability to configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security autonomously.
• Proven ability to support daily Finance operations while also contributing to project-based work and strategic initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills — adept at navigating competing priorities, managing expectations across Finance and IT, and communicating effectively at all levels.
• Experience in conducting business requirements gathering, gap analysis, and drafting functional design documents.
• Solid grasp of core finance and accounting concepts (GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, expense management) and their application to Workday configuration.
• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple ongoing requests and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Collaborative problem-solving approach, with a history of establishing trusted relationships with Finance business partners.
