Workday Data Conversion Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement the complete data conversion lifecycle for Workday HCM and Financials, from initial planning to go-live.

• Facilitate data mapping sessions and supervise transformation and loading processes across the HCM and Financials functional domains.

• Coordinate tenant constructions, conversion cycles, and loading sequences in accordance with the overarching project plan.

• Collaborate closely with functional leaders to verify converted data and assist in testing and remediation efforts.

• Detect, monitor, and resolve data quality challenges; elevate risks and dependencies when necessary.

• Advise clients and internal teams on data readiness, cleansing necessities, and conversion timelines.

• Maintain conversion documentation, tracking tools, and status updates.

• Direct reporting design initiatives by collecting and interpreting stakeholder reporting requirements into impactful reports and dashboard solutions.

• Coordinate and engage in report design sessions, ensuring consistency with conversion choices, functional design, and downstream analytical requirements.

• Lead the creation and prioritization of new dashboards, reports, and analytical tools.

• Manage report-based validation and reconciliation processes to confirm that converted data supports operational and analytical reporting.

• Counsel teams on best practices for Workday reporting and the capabilities of the platform.

• Resolve report-related issues and drive solutions in collaboration with functional and technical teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience.

• At least 5 years of overall data conversion experience, including leadership roles in large-scale ERP implementations.

• Over 3 years of direct Workday data conversion experience, supporting HCM and/or Financials implementations.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting reporting design, validation, and reconciliation linked to data conversion activities.

• Strong grasp of Workday HCM data structures and a working knowledge of Workday Financials data.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Workday conversion tools (Migration Recipes, Advanced Loads, EIBs, Object Transporter).

• Experience in leading data mapping, managing reference IDs, load sequencing, and report-based validation.

• Capability to manage dependencies across Data Conversion, Reporting, HCM, and Financials workstreams.

• Excellent client-facing communication and technical leadership abilities.

• Active Workday Certification is required (HCM, Financials, Data Conversion, Reporting/Prism, and/or Integration).

• Experience in Higher Education and/or Healthcare implementations is an advantage.
