Workday Data Conversion Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement the complete data conversion lifecycle for Workday HCM and Financials, from initial planning to go-live.

• Facilitate data mapping sessions and manage transformation and loading activities across HCM and Financials functional domains.

• Coordinate tenant configurations, conversion cycles, and loading sequences in accordance with the overall project timeline.

• Collaborate closely with functional leads to confirm the accuracy of converted data and assist with testing and remediation efforts.

• Detect, monitor, and address data quality concerns; escalate risks and dependencies as necessary.

• Advise clients and internal teams on data preparedness, cleansing needs, and conversion timelines.

• Maintain thorough conversion documentation, trackers, and status updates.

• Direct reporting design initiatives by collecting and interpreting stakeholder reporting requirements into actionable reports and dashboard solutions.

• Lead and engage in report design discussions, ensuring coherence with conversion choices, functional designs, and downstream analytics requirements.

• Spearhead the creation and prioritization of new dashboards, reports, and analytical tools.

• Supervise report-based validation and reconciliation to guarantee that converted data supports operational and analytical reporting needs.

• Educate teams on Workday reporting best practices and the platform’s capabilities.

• Resolve report-related challenges and drive solutions alongside functional and technical teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience.

• At least 5 years of comprehensive data conversion experience, including leadership roles in large-scale ERP implementations.

• Over 3 years of direct Workday data conversion experience, particularly in support of HCM and/or Financials implementations.

• Demonstrated expertise in supporting reporting design, validation, and reconciliation associated with data conversion projects.

• In-depth understanding of Workday HCM data structures and a working knowledge of Workday Financials data.

• Practical experience with Workday conversion tools, including Migration Recipes, Advanced Loads, EIBs, and Object Transporter.

• Experience in leading data mapping, managing reference IDs, loading sequences, and report-based validation processes.

• Ability to oversee dependencies among Data Conversion, Reporting, HCM, and Financials workstreams.

• Strong communication skills with clients and exceptional technical leadership abilities.

• Active Workday Certification required (HCM, Financials, Data Conversion, Reporting/Prism, and/or Integration).

• Experience in Higher Education and/or Healthcare implementations is advantageous.
