This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver daily configuration and operational support for Workday, with an emphasis on Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules.
• Set up and oversee pay components, earnings and deductions, tax elections, garnishments, absence plans, time entry templates, time calculations, and scheduling rules.
• Ensure the security of Workday payroll and time production systems, manage organizational structures, business processes, tasks, notifications, system enhancements, and data entry support.
• Implement security principles for Workday and third-party integrations.
• Assist with payroll accounting, GL posting, journal validation, and financial reconciliation alongside the Finance/Accounting team.
• Design and support EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday Studio integrations.
• Create reports, dashboards, worklets, scheduled reports, and composite, matrix, and advanced reports.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to optimize current processes and design system modifications across Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Conduct unit testing for configuration changes and facilitate user acceptance testing.
• Oversee semi-annual Workday releases for PATT, including impact assessments, regression testing, and feature adoption.
• Manage necessary PATT reporting, year-end reporting, and associated year-end activities.
• Adhere to SDLC methodology and change management policies during production deployments.
• Address production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Continuously enhance system configuration and reporting.
• Uphold strict confidentiality.
• Grasp database architecture, table structures, functional interactions, and downstream system impacts.
• Analyze and document business requirements and processes.
• Collaborate with technical writers on documentation.
• Provide support for HCM Core configuration as necessary.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in implementing and supporting Workday Payroll, Absence Management, and/or Time Tracking modules.
• Preferred certifications include Workday Pro Payroll, Workday Pro Absence Management, or Workday Pro Time Tracking.
• Strong comprehension of absence plans, time entry templates, time calculations, and scheduling complexities is essential.
• In-depth understanding of payroll processes, time entry design, and payroll accounting/GL posting.
• Experience with Workday implementation tools such as EIB, Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and iLoad is preferred.
• Proven track record of leading and supporting successful projects.
• Excellent proficiency in database reporting and analysis tools, including Excel.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to assist system users with inquiries and issues.
• Effective communication skills in verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, and management contexts.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain relationships with third-party vendors and internal team members.
