Work-Study – UX/UI Design Research Associate, Bac+2 to Bac+4

Posted May 19

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the implementation and development of the passenger information system displayed on dynamic information screens throughout all passenger areas (including rolling stock, station entrances, and stations).

• The main objective is to modify RATP’s passenger information system for new real-time dynamic information media, excluding mobile applications and websites.

• Advancements in technology and the modernization of the transport network introduce new features that need to be incorporated into passenger journey flows.

• RATP’s signage graphic charter and usage principles are to be applied to these new tools.

• Information displays in rolling stock, at station and entrance points, management of waiting times on platforms and in stations, and display of train services are part of the responsibilities.

• All these new media (either under development or to be developed) must be seamlessly integrated into passenger areas to supplement fixed and map-based information.

• In addition to adhering to the RATP signage guidelines, new HMI and animation practices should improve the usability of these new tools.

• The design of imagery (including symbols and icons), compliance with layout (construction grid), and staging (sequencing and animation) are crucial for enhancing screen ergonomics.

• The development of a new medium — covering its functionality, graphic design, animation, and spatial integration — must be validated with the preparation of reference documents that ensure adherence to and communication of the design rules established.
