This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Responsible for the implementation and development of the passenger information system displayed on dynamic information screens throughout all passenger areas (including rolling stock, station entrances, and stations).
• The main objective is to modify RATP’s passenger information system for new real-time dynamic information media, excluding mobile applications and websites.
• Advancements in technology and the modernization of the transport network introduce new features that need to be incorporated into passenger journey flows.
• RATP’s signage graphic charter and usage principles are to be applied to these new tools.
• Information displays in rolling stock, at station and entrance points, management of waiting times on platforms and in stations, and display of train services are part of the responsibilities.
• All these new media (either under development or to be developed) must be seamlessly integrated into passenger areas to supplement fixed and map-based information.
• In addition to adhering to the RATP signage guidelines, new HMI and animation practices should improve the usability of these new tools.
• The design of imagery (including symbols and icons), compliance with layout (construction grid), and staging (sequencing and animation) are crucial for enhancing screen ergonomics.
• The development of a new medium — covering its functionality, graphic design, animation, and spatial integration — must be validated with the preparation of reference documents that ensure adherence to and communication of the design rules established.
• You should be a design or applied arts student at Bac+2 to Bac+4 level seeking a work-study opportunity.
• Experience in information design is preferred.
• A keen interest in transportation is necessary.
• Familiarity with service design methodologies is required.
• Understanding of graphic and motion animation (purpose and application) is essential.
• A sensitivity to ergonomics is important.
• Knowledge of layout and composition is expected.
• Strong observational and analytical skills are necessary.
• Spatial awareness is critical.
• Must be methodical, rigorous, and well-organized.
• Autonomy and composure in work tasks are essential.
• Creative thinking is a must.
• Proficiency in graphic tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is required.
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma is necessary.
• Experience with animation tools such as Adobe Animate is expected.
• Proficiency in standard office and collaborative communication tools is required.
