This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Install, configure, administer, and provide support for Windows Server environments including versions 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025.
• Oversee Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, organizational units, users, groups, and computer accounts.
• Execute server builds, upgrades, migrations, hardening, and decommissioning processes.
• Manage Windows patching utilizing WSUS, MECM/SCCM, or similar platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, applications, authentication, networking, performance, and system-level challenges.
• Administer Microsoft Failover Clustering, Windows Server roles, and high-availability setups.
• Provide support for VMware and Hyper-V virtualized Windows workloads.
• Conduct system performance analysis and optimize capacity.
• Implement and uphold Windows security baselines and hardening standards.
• Resolve authentication problems involving Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP, certificates, and domain connectivity.
• Manage Windows services, scheduled tasks, event logs, registry settings, and overall system configurations.
• Support backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.
• Automate repetitive administrative tasks through PowerShell.
• Monitor infrastructure utilizing enterprise monitoring and logging platforms.
• Engage in incident, problem, change, and request management processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles, and infrastructure reports.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call or shift support as needed.
• Proven experience as a Windows Engineer with a solid background in enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.
• Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proficient in PowerShell automation.
• Familiarity with VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Experience with Windows Server versions 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025.
• Knowledge of Active Directory AD DS, organizational units, users, groups, FSMO, and Sites & Services.
• Understanding of DNS zones, records, DHCP scopes, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Skills in creating, configuring, and troubleshooting Group Policies.
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting, automation, and administration.
• Experience with WSUS, SCCM/MECM, or other equivalent patching solutions.
• Proficient with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of Windows hardening, security baselines, and endpoint security practices.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, basic routing, and firewall concepts.
• Experience with Windows monitoring, event logs, and performance counters.
• Understanding of backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery principles.
• Experience in incident, problem, change, and service request management.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure/Azure Virtual Machines, Microsoft Entra ID/hybrid identity, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SCCM/MECM administration, Windows Failover Clustering, IIS administration, Certificate Services/PKI, VMware vCenter and ESXi, ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms, enterprise monitoring tools, and experience in large-scale data center support.
• 24x7 on-call or shift support as required.
